Barack Obama celebrates Democratic presidential candidate win with U2

'It's A Beautiful Day' for the presidential hopeful

Barack Obama celebrated winning the race to be the Democrat candidate for the forthcoming US presidential elections by blasting out U2's 'Beautiful Day'.

Obama celebrated at the Excel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota in front of 15,000 people last night (June 3) as the song was played.

"Tonight we mark the end of one historic journey with the beginning of another – a journey that will bring a new and better day to America," he said during the celebrations.

Obama will stand in the presidential elections this November. He is the first black person to represent a major US political party as a presidential candidate.

Obama should definitely be the next president. To vote in another republican like McCain would be just fucking stupid.

Go Obama!! I'm an aussie and I think Obama will point the US in the right direction and stand up for rights of all people. But also stand up for those who I feel have been neglected and forgotten and who have in my sence not had the rights and respect they deserve, the African american citizens. It will show the younger generation that no matter what your background or the color of your skin you can achieve anything. This will be a positive thing and I also believe will be willing to stand up to the prejudice thrown at celebrities especially my two idols who I feel have accomplished so much and who I am extremely proud of for there professional and personal achievements. Michael and Janet Jackson, love you!!!!Go Obama if I was a US citizen you would have my vote for sure!!
