'Halo' comes in four variations

Lil’ Wayne is making a foray into the beverage industry, with plans to launch his own brand of champagne later this year.

The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter has put his name to the ‘Halo’ brand of bubbly, which will come out this fall in four variations – Halo Brut, Halo Brut Vintage, Halo Rose and Halo Pinnacle.

Already one of the top sellers this year so far, his sixth album ‘Tha Carter III’ sold in excess of one million copies in its first week of release (June 10), and Wayne who is just 25-years-old, has already sold over 6 million albums in his 13-year career.

In addition to his beverage business, he is also venturing into acting, and is currently shooting a movie entitled ‘Hurricane Seasons’, which also stars Oscar winner Forrest Whittaker and is based on a Louisiana basketball team who rise to stardom post-Hurricane Katrina.
