Leeds Academy, a new venue in the city, is set to open its doors this autumn.

The venue, formerly the Town And Country Club, has been restored and redeveloped and is set to host upcoming gigs from MGMT, Hot Chip, Foals and The Last Shadow Puppets.

The main room of the Grade I listed gothic building has a capacity of 2,300, including a balcony which can hold 500 people.

Large venues in Brighton and Birmingham are currently being redeveloped into academies and are set to open next year.
