Low Vs Diamond shine for hometown crowd

They run through entire album at sold-out LA gig

Low Vs Diamond played their entire debut album for a sold-out crowd at the Troubadour last night (August 13).

Family, friends and fans packed the audience for the Los Angeles-based band's first headlining gig at the legendary club, which marked the release of their self-titled full-length debut.

The band kicked off the night with frontman Lucas Field standing in the middle of the crowd for the opening strains of 'Save Yourself''.

"This is our CD release show, so we're gonna make it a good one and play the entire album for you," Field said, and the audience cheered back in approval.

"We're all standing together on historic ground, so let's soak it up, shall we?" added guitarist Anthony Polcino, referring the Troubadour's illustrious history, which includes performances by the likes of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.

Throughout the evening, Field waved and nodded to friends and family in the packed house, including his mother and her best friend who danced in the balcony.

"It's always a party when you play at home," Field told NME.COM after the show. "It's hard to get an LA crowd fired up but it turned out really well. It's the first time I heard so many people singing along to our songs."
