Alex Zane angry about Xfm suspension
Presenter says station are 'over-reacting'
Alex Zane has spoken out about his suspension from presenting the Xfm Breakfast Show.
As previously reported Zane was suspended from the radio station for a week after airing a song he allegedly wrote about rape live on air.
He told Broadcast Magazine Xfm were "over-reacting in the extreme."
Zane continued: "The over-the-top response that we've had would suggest a station being overly cautious."
He added that the radio station's decision to suspend him made it look worse than it was, as no listeners actually called in to complain.
Duncan Hayes, Zane's agent, added: "Xfm has treated its talent with blinding incompetence".
