Locals complain about the noise

The future of Beach Break Live festival is uncertain after more than 100 complaints about noise from this year's event.

The festival was started in 2007 and sees 4,000 students descend on Polzeath in Cornwall to see the likes of The Wombats, Does It Offend You Yeah? and The Cribs, who have all performed at the event.

However complaints about bad language and noise during the three-day event means that 2009's festival might not happen.

North Cornwall councillors will meet today (September 23) to decide whether to renew the organisers' license.
