Paul Simonon, John Squire, Yoko Ono create postcards for charity

They join a host of famous names donating to the Royal College of Art

A host of famous faces have designed postcards for the Royal College Of Art's annual RCA Secret exhibition.

Among those who have contributed postcards to the project are Yoko Ono, ex-Stone Roses guitarist John Squire, former Clash member Paul Simonon and Holly Johnson from Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

The rules of the exhibition state that each postcard must be displayed anonymously in the RCA galleries, with the artist's name signed on the reverse.

Only when a postcard, costing £40, is sold can the identity of the artist be revealed.

This year over 2,700 entrants - ranging from the likes of Ono, Squire and Tracey Emin to RCA graduates - have designed postcards for the exhibition.

All money raised from the project goes towards the Royal College of Art Fine Art Student Award Fund.

The cards will be on show at the Royal College Of Art, Kensington Gore, London from November 14-21.

They are due to be sold on a first-come, first served-basis on November 22.
