Bands offered chance to win festival slot

Unsigned bands are been given the chance to play next year's Great Escape Festival in Brighton.

The Red Stripe Music Awards will give acts the chance to take place in a series of regional gigs that start in 2009, with one act been selected to play the festival, which has showcased the likes of CSS, The Rascals, Glasvegas and Klaxons (pictured) in the past.

Applicants must be over 18 and play original songs to be eligible. Head to Redstripe.net for more information and details on how to enter.
