Black Tide pack woolies after swapping Miami for UK's freezing weather

Plus band announce free show next week

Florida band Black Tide are set to gig off a UK tour next week - but have admitted they have possibly got their timing wrong weatherwise.

The band are lining up a series of British dates, but say they're not looking forward to bracing the current cold snap.

"It's going to be hard to leave the Miami sun but we've packed our winter woollies as the time has finally come for us to return back to the UK," they told NME.COM. "We couldn't be more excited about making this our first tour of 09'... We were there this time last year and it was insane."

Fans' first chance to see the band will be for free at a BBC Sound show on January 15.

The gig will take place in London from 1pm (GMT). Anyone interested in going should email switchguestlist@monkeykingdom.com with Black Tide in the subject and include their name, age and how many tickets they want.
