Kid Cudi tops Shazam's top acts for 2009

Empire Of The Sun, White Lies, Little Boots also feature in the list

Shazam has declared Kid Cudi the winner of its Sound Of 2009 poll.

The Cleveland rapper topped Shazam's annual list of ten new artists on the verge of making it big.

The service, which is known best for its music identification technology, has seen millions of users choose the acts they think will do well in 2009.
