Zavvi to close 15 more UK stores

The music, DVD and games retailer cuts more jobs

Zavvi to close 15 more UK stores

Entertainment retailer Zavvi has announced the immediate closure of 15 more of its UK stores.

It's thought that 295 people will lose their jobs as a result of the new closures.

The announcement is the latest in a series of moves to downscale Zavvi since it went into administration on December 24.

Zavvi has recently closed 55 stores, with 826 job losses. However, the remaining 48 Zavvi stores are set to remain open, reports BBC News.

The list below shows the stores newly-announced as to close, followed by the number of job losses:

East Kilbride, 7
Exeter, 28
Ipswich, 17
Kensington, London, 15
Kings Road, London, 23
Merry Hill, 21
Newcastle, 31
Norwich, 25

Taunton, 17
