Amazing Baby have announced that they are putting the finishing touches on their debut album.

The hotly tipped Brooklyn-based band said that they "have been working hard in the studio to try to finish our debut record and we're nearly there."

"We think it's going to be a masterpiece," said Amazing Baby's Simon O’Connor, adding, "It will make men cry."

Meanwhile, the band are giving away a free track from the new album called 'Bayonets', which can be downloaded here.

The band will be touring in Europe throughout February and are set to perform at the Shockwaves NME Awards Show in London on February 13. They'll then play a handful of US dates in April with Cold War Kids.

The US tour dates are:

Wilbur Theatre, Boston (April 2)
Terminal 5, New York (3)
Water Street, Rochester (6)
Schubas Tavern, Chicago (16)
