Comedy duo Corden and Horne to play Isle Of Wight festival
Former Shockwaves NME Awards hosts put band together
Comedians and former Shockwaves NME Awards hosts James Corden and Mathew Horne are putting a band together - to play the Isle Of Wight festival in June.
The 'Gavin And Stacey' stars, who hosted the Shockwaves NME Awards in 2008, will play to an audience of 70,000 after just five days of rehearsals, reports The News Of The World.
Cameras will follow the pair during the build-up to the event for an ITV2 show called 'We Are Rock Stars'.
A source told the paper: "James's experience of fronting music gigs extends to playing the cornet at school, so it should be interesting to say the very least.
"But Matt's a DJ these days so he's got a bit more of an idea.
"They're setting up a band from scratch, which is a hell of a challenge, so the set list is likely to include songs that aren’t too taxing but will get everyone going."
The bash takes place between June 12 and 14 at Seaclose Park, Newport.
Other bands confirmed for the festival so far are:
The Prodigy
Basement Jaxx
The Ting Tings
Pendulum
Stereophonics
Razorlight
Neil Young
Pixies
The Charlatans
