Summer Sundae festival launches child-friendly stage

The likes of The Streets, The Charlatans and The Zutons will be joined by a host new features, including The Garden, a Silent Disco and The Phoenix Square Cinema Tent at this year's Summer Sundae Weekender.

The festival, which takes place in Leicester on August 14, 15 and 16, has introduced The Garden in order to accommodate for families attending the event.

Hosted by a giant scarecrow, the area is designed to be kid friendly, with giant board games, music workshops and science experiments galore.

The Silent Disco will be held from 9pm each night, while The Phoenix Square Cinema Tent will run nightly between 8pm and 1am.

This year's festival also features the likes of Bon Iver, Saint Etienne, Noisettes and 65 Days Of Static.
