The rapper must serve time on federal weapons charges
TI must report to a federal prison in Arkansas by the end of May to begin serving a year-long prison term.
The rap star, whose real name is Clifford J Harris Jr, has been sentenced to one year and a day in the Forrest City low-security federal prison. He has until noon on May 26 to appear at the prison to begin his sentence, reports the Associated Press.
Harris pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges after he allegedly attempted to illegally buy machine guns after his best friend was killed, as previously reported. The rapper must also pay a fine of $100,000.
