Set to take place at London's Royal Opera House on February 21, Avatar leads the nominations, picking up eight nods.

Nowhere Boy, the Sam Taylor-Wood-directed film about the early life of John Lennon, is also up for those two categories, while Kristin Scott Thomas and Anne-Marie Duff – who play Lennon's aunt Mimi Scott and mother Julia respectively – are both nominated for Supporting Actress.
