Shockwaves NME Awards nominations announced tonight (Jan 25)
The shortlists for the Shockwaves NME Awards 2010 are set to be announced tonight (January 25).

The nominations for this year's ceremony, set to take place at the O2 Academy Brixton on February 24, will be revealed on NME.COM at 7.30pm (GMT). They will be announced at an awards launch party at the London Tabernacle, followed by a live performance from The Maccabees.

Voting will open at NME.COM/awards from 7:30pm. NME Editor Krissi Murison and Associate Editor Paul Stokes will be live on NME Radio following the announcement to discuss the nominations.

Last year Oasis were crowned Best British Band at the ceremony while Muse won three awards including the Best Live Band gong. See NME.COM/awards for a run-down of last year's winners.
