The UK singles and albums charts are set to have their official midweek updates published every Wednesday ahead of the weekly Sunday rundown.

Currently midweek sales figures are sent to members of the music industry – but from March 10 a midweek update will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1 from 3:30pm (GMT) to 4pm.

Paolo Nutini is currently top of the albums chart with 'Sunny Side Up', while Owl City have the Number One single with 'Fireflies'.
