Current 93 announce anniversary gigs and ticket details

Andrew WK is on hand to join the band to celebrate David Tibet's 50th birthday

British experimental veterans Current 93 have announced details of two London gigs to take place this May at London's HMV Forum venue.

The band will be joined by a host of extra musicians for the May 28-29 gigs, which are celebrating both 25 years of Current 93, as well as frontman David Tibet's 50th birthday.

Andrew WK, Matt Sweeney (Superwolf, Zwan, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond) and Alex Neilson (Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Red Krayola) are among those set to appear with Current 93, along with Keith Wood, Baby Dee, Bill Breeze, Sasha Grey, Michael Cashmore Eliot Bates and London author Sebastian Horsley.

Support on May 28 comes from Nurse With Wound, while Comus and Rameses III play the following day (29).
