Simon Cowell to be honoured with BAFTA Special Award

Simon Cowell his to be given a special BAFTA Special Award in London next month.

The music mogul and X Factor creator and judge will be honoured at the annual ceremony, which this year takes place on June 6 at the London Palladium.

Speaking about the gong, John Willis, chair of BAFTA's TV committee, said he was "delighted", reports BBC News.

Willis added that Cowell is "one of the most brilliant entertainment producers of our time".

The award has previously been given to Paul Watson, Paul Greengrass, Adam Curtis and Andy Harries.
