Fabric nightclub put up for sale

Club follows closure of it's sister venue Matter

Fabric nightclub put up for sale
London club Fabric has been put up for sale.

The news follows rumours about the club's future, which gained pace last month (May 20) when Matter - which was set up by the same people - announced it was closing for the summer.

Property consultants Edward Symmons are currently in the process of looking for buyers for Fabric, which was put on the market yesterday (June 1), reports Residentadvisor.net.

A spokesperson for Edward Symons said that if the right buyer is found, the club should continue to remain open.

"Just 24 hours after being appointed, we have already received a number of enquiries from potential purchasers," the spokesperson explained. "We anticipate continued interest in the sale of Fabric, particularly from other major club operators in London and the south east, and we are confident that a purchase will be secured for the business as a going concern."

No official word has been given about Fabric's forthcoming line-up schedule since it was put up for sale, though on Friday (May 28) a statement was released saying the club "will very much remain open as normal, business as usual".
