David James: 'Wayne Rooney is the best dancer in the England team'

But England's Number One tells NME none of the squad can sing

England goalkeeper David James has revealed that the World Cup squad are terrible singers, but that they do have a gifted dancer in their midst.

The stopper, who was given the Number One shirt for the tournament by manager Fabio Capello yesterday (June 3), spoke about the team's musical tastes ahead of them decamping to South Africa.

"Are there any good singers in the England team? Rubbish! Absolute rubbish," he joked, "but Wayne Rooney is the best dancer, no question about that."

The goalkeeper added that, under their current manager, the team no longer have a communal stereo in their changing room – however, he explained they listen to iPods, and that music is an important part of England's pre-match preparation.
