'X Factor' finalists and Take That on course to retain Number Ones

Midweek figures for albums and singles charts released today (Dec 1)

The finalists of this year's X Factor look set to stay at Number One in the UK singles chart this Sunday (December 5) with their cover of David Bowie's '"Heroes"'.

According to official midweek sales figures released today (1), they are comfortably ahead of former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger's new single 'Poison' in terms of sales, whith Scherzinger at the midweek Number Two.

The version of '"Heroes"' is raising money for The Royal British Legion poppy appeal and forces charity Help For Heroes.

In the UK albums chart, Take That's new record 'Progress' is set to retain its position at the top spot, outselling Olly Murs' self-titled debut. Duffy's new album 'Endlessly' is at Number Four in the midweeks.
