The X Factor winner Matt Cardle looks almost certain to hold on to the UK singles chart Number One spot this Sunday (December 26) with his cover of Biffy Clyro's 'Many Of Horror'.

Cardle's version of the track, renamed 'When We Collide', has sold roughly 560,000 copies in total after notching up 120,000 sales so far this week. However, he is facing competition in the chart from Katy B, whose new Ms Dynamite-featuring single 'Lights On' is at the midweek Number Two today (December 22).

In the UK albums chart Take That's 'Progress' looks set to continue to hold onto the top spot, having now sold 1.5million copies since being released six weeks ago.
