Shockwaves NME Awards 2011 nominations announced next week (Jan 25)

The nominations for this year's Shockwaves NME Awards are set to be announced on Tuesday (January 25).

Voting has now closed for the awards, but will reopen at NME.COM/awards when the nominations are announced next week.

Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Muse and Bombay Bicycle Club were among the winners at last year's awards.

This year the Shockwaves NME Awards ceremony takes place at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on February 23. Dave Grohl is set to pick up the Godlike Genius award on the night.

The NME Awards Big Gig, featuring Foo Fighters, Cee Lo Green, Band Of Horses and No Age, then takes place on February 25 at Wembley Arena.
