Sean Kingston is expected to make a full recovery within six weeks from the jet skiing accident he incurred on Sunday (May 29) in Miami.

The 21-year-old, along with female passenger Cassandra Sanchez, was rushed to hospital after crashing into a bridge at 6pm local time (11pm BST). His condition was initially described as "critical", before being downgraded to "stable", but sources now say that the singer will make a full recovery within six weeks.

According to CNN, Kingston suffered from a broken jaw, fractured wrist and water in his lungs, but is now recovering well.

Kingston was discovered by Carmen Rivera, along with her husband Jonathan Rivera and friend Jimmy Vega, who were out on a boat near the scene of the accident. They were called over to help a distressed Kingston, who they revealed was vomiting up large amounts of water and blood after being pushed under the surface after losing his life jacket.

Sanchez is still being treated in hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.
