Sony Records boss US X Factor judge L.A Reid has apparently demanded that all "ugly people" be fired from the label.
According to the New York Post, Reid has allegedly told executives at Sony: "I don't want no ugly people working here; I only want good-looking people."
An insider at the label has said Reid apparently wants to "keep it sexy" in the workplace, with another adding: "He considers himself an artist, which means he expects to be treated like a VIP. He's incredibly difficult, and many people are worried about what will happen when he starts on the judging panel for The X Factor."
Reid famously dropped Lady Gaga in his previous role at Island/Def Jam Records, allegedly because he didn’t think the 'Born This Way' singer was good-looking enough. He is reported to have once told her: "I don't get you. I don't get your music."
The label boss begins filming for the new series of the X Factor in late September. He is part of a judging panel that includes '80s icon Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, who replaced Cheryl Cole on the panel earlier this year.
A spokesman for Sony Records has declined to comment on Reid's alleged remarks.
