James Corden to host Brit Awards for third time

James Corden has been confirmed to host the Brit Awards for a third time next year.

The Gavin And Stacey star told BBC News it was a "real honour" to be asked to return to the annual bash, adding that he "enjoyed presenting the show so much last year".

Along with hosting 2011's show solo, Corden also presented alongside comedy partner Mathew Horne in 2009.

Meanwhile, artist Sir Peter Blake – who designed the sleeve for The Beatles' seminal album 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' – has been commissioned to design next year's statuettes.

However, he revealed that organisers of the annual award show rejected his initial design. Blake commented:

I did something and they said: 'Could you make it a bit more pop art?. So it's pop arted up.

Arcade Fire and Tinie Tempah were the biggest winners at this year's Brit Awards, taking home two gongs each.

Mumford and Sons, Laura Marling, Take That, Plan B and Rihanna were among the other winners at the London O2 Arena bash.
