The Liberal Democrat leader has asked that profits from the single release of the track, which was made by satire website The Poke, are given to Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
Clegg's wife, Miriam Gonzalez Durantez, is a patron of the hospital, which is based in Clegg's constituency of Sheffield Hallam.
When asked by The Poke if he would give his permission for the song to be released as a single on iTunes, Clegg responded:
William Hill are now offering 25/1 odds that 'Nick Clegg Says Sorry (The Autotune Remix)' will top the UK charts.
