Rick Ross has announced that his new album will be called 'Mastermind'.
The rapper made the announcement in a typically lavish trailer clip uploaded to YouTube - scroll down and click 'play' to watch it. The video features no new music from the album, preferring to use a classic Curtis Mayfield tune for its soundtrack.
'Mastermind' has yet to be given a release date, but the trailer confirms that the album is due in 2013. Ross's last LP 'God Forgives, I Don't' came out last July, debuting at Number One on the US albums chart.
Last month (December 2), the rapper cancelled a pair of concerts in North Carolina without explanation. He had reportedly received death treats from the Gangster Disciples, a gang whose imprisoned leader he had mentioned in a track.
Earlier that month, Ross unveiled a brand new song called '100 Black Coffins', which appears on the soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino's latest film Django Unchained.
