Eve to release first album in 11 years
The rapper will put out her fourth album 'Lip Lock' in May
Rapper EVE is set to release her first album in 11 years.
'Lip Lock' is her fourth studio album, and follows 2002's 'Eve-Olution'. According to Eve, it will come out on May 13.
She first started work on her fourth LP back in 2007, when she was still signed to Interscope, but 'Lip Lock' is an entirely new project. Speaking to Billboard, she said:
"It's not the same record. I just kept the same name. It took a minute to get out of the situation that I was in back then. That's what took so long."
'Lip Lock' will be released on Eve's own label FTR Music/From the Ribs Music and will feature a guest appearance from Snoop Dogg.
Says Eve: "There are so many great tracks on the album. 'Call Eve' is one of my favourites. I'm obsessed with it! 'Mom in the Kitchen' is the one with Snoop on it. I love that!"
News of the album follows the airing of Eve's comeback track 'She Bad Bad'. Scroll down to watch the video, which debuted earlier this month.
Talking about the positive reception that the song received, Eve said: "It blew me away. It makes me feel like people definitely did miss me and they want to hear some more."
A new single, 'Make it Out This Town', will be released soon.
