Rick Ross has survived a drive-by shooting attempt.

The rapper was driving his silver Rolls Royce in Miami when he heard shots being fired in his direction, reports BBC News.

The attempted shooting happened at around 5am (ET) today (January 28). Riding with Ross was another passenger, Shateria L Moragne-el, who is said to be dating the artist. Neither was injured, though buildings were hit by the gunfire and Ross crashed his car after swerving the bullets.

A police statement reads:

The driver of the Rolls Royce attempted to drive away from the direction of the shots being fired and lost control of the vehicle, striking a nearby apartment building.

No suspects have yet been identified or arrested, reports TMZ. However, police are currently going through security camera footage in the hope of finding out the identity of the shooter or details of their vehicle.

Rick Ross had been at the LIV nightclub in Miami before the incident, celebrating his birthday.
