PJ & Duncan's 'Lets Get Ready To Rhumble' tops iTunes sales chart, 19 years after release

1994 single tops iTunes chart following TV performance

PJ & Duncan's 1994 single 'Let's Get Ready To Rhumble' has hit the top spot in the iTunes singles chart today following a performance of the song by Ant and Dec on their ITV show Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend.

The TV presenters returned to their roots as the Byker Grove characters alongside fellow '90s pop acts 5ive, Atomic Kitten and Blue during their primetime variety show. The reunited popstars were on the show to promote their ITV2 show The Big Reunion and managed to convince their hosts to revisit their own musical past and perform the song, which charted in the Top 10 upon its release 19 years ago. You can see footage of the performance above, now.

Meanwhile, Lee Ryan of Blue (who performed their song 'One Love' directly before the PJ & Duncan reunion) recently enjoyed a night out with Dave Grohl. Speaking to NME about his time with the boyband member, Grohl said: "There was this English singer who was with us who was completely wasted. We almost had to throw him out. Have you heard of this band, Blue?" He added: "The guy kept telling us how many million records he's sold. I was like, 'Really? You?'"

The Big Reunion has been a ratings success for ITV2 with over a million viewers tuning in each week to see Blue, 5ive, Atomic Kitten, Honeyz, Liberty X and 911 regroup and rehearse for a forthcoming arena tour of the UK.
