PJ & Duncan's 'Lets Get Ready To Rhumble' is on course to top official UK singles chart
PJ & Duncan's 1994 single 'Let's Get Ready To Rhumble' is on course to top the Official UK Singles Chart this weekend.

The 1994 track, which hit the Number One spot on iTunes yesterday (March 25), has already shifted over 35,000 copies this week following a performance of the song by Ant and Dec on their ITV show Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend. If it goes to Number One, it will be the pair's first after they scored their highest chart hit in 2002 with their World Cup anthem 'We're On The Ball'.

The TV presenters returned to their roots as the Byker Grove characters alongside fellow '90s pop acts 5ive, Atomic Kitten and Blue during their primetime variety show. The reunited popstars were on the show to promote their ITV2 show The Big Reunion and managed to convince their hosts to revisit their own musical past and perform the song, which charted in the Top 10 upon its release 19 years ago. You can see footage of the performance above, now.

Meanwhile, Ant and Dec have revealed that they will be donating any money made from the single to charity. Appearing on Chris Evans Radio 2 show on Monday (March 25), Ant McPartlin said: "We've just decided that any money we make out of it will be put towards Childline, as we're patrons of that." Declan Donnelly added: "At 37 it's a little bit harder than 19, it felt a lot quicker than in 1994! The last few days have been bewildering."

The Big Reunion has been a ratings success for ITV2 with over a million viewers tuning in each week to see Blue, 5ive, Atomic Kitten, Honeyz, Liberty X and 911 regroup and rehearse for a forthcoming arena tour of the UK.
