The annual Association of Independent Music (AIM) Awards are set to return in 2013 with DJs Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens confirmed to host this year's ceremony.

Returning for a third year, the AIM Awards will take place on September 3 and have this year introduced new awards for Independent Track and Independent Video Of The Year. A series of AIM Awards Warm Up shows curated by the judging panel will also take place throughout the summer in the run-up to the ceremony itself. Judges on the panel include hosts Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens as well as NME's Eve Barlow.

Speaking about the ceremony, Alison Wenham, Chairman of AIM says: "Anyone who attended last year’s event will know that there is no pretence around the AIM Awards – it’s simply a brilliant show spotlighting some of the most talented artists and businesses around. And there is nothing else like it in the industry, a fact of which we are very proud. We intend to take the AIM awards to a new level each year, meaning that fans, artists and indies will benefit from the exposure we can now deliver."
