Cher's mother has entered the US Billboard album charts with an album that she recorded in 1980.

86-year-old Georgia Holt's debut album 'Honky Tonk Woman' has entered the Billboard Heatseekers chart at Number 13 and the Top Country Albums chart at Number 43, following its release last week.

The album was originally recorded with members of Elvis' band, reports Billboard. The session tapes were recently rediscovered, after being found in Holt's garage. The album includes original material written by Holt as well as cover versions of 'Love Me Tender' and 'Cryin' Time'. Cher also duets with her mother on the record.

Cher told chat show host Jay Leno that she took the tapes to her musical director Paul Mirkovich after they were found. "He went in and took it all apart and put all new music in it. Basically, we just kept mom's voice and put everything else new on it," explained Cher.
