Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac has given birth to her first son, confirming the news on Facebook and Twitter yesterday (May 20).

The Irish DJ last appeared on Radio 1 on Sunday, May 11, presenting her Sunday night programme between 10pm and 12pm. She is the third Radio 1 DJ to give birth in 2013 following the arrival of Fearne Cotton's son Rex in February and Edith Bowman giving birth to boy Spike in the same month.
