If you've not already entered this year's NME Music Photography Awards with Nikon then hurry – the deadline for entries is midnight this Sunday (September 15).

For the fourth year running, we're on the hunt for the best and brightest music photographers. Images from both amateurs and professionals are welcome – and will be judged by an expert panel including NME and NME.COM picture director Zoe Capstick and renowned music photographers. Categories include live, portrait, festivals, documentary, under-18s and professional.

Winners in all amateur categories will get a Nikon 1 J3 with 10-30mm lens kit worth £579.99 (RRP). With its super-fast shooting speed and ultra-light aluminum frame, it's perfect for letting you get right up close to the action without having to lug around heavy gear. Each of these winners will also be put forward for the Grand Prix to win an extra £500 of Nikon kit, while the winner of the Readers' Choice award will win an extra £250 of Nikon kit. Further to this, you'll be invited to the NME offices to meet NME's picture director and an NME photographer for a professional consultation on your portfolio.

The winner of the professional category will get a Nikon D600 camera and 24-85mm lens worth £2,475.98, which will give you all the kit you need to take your photography to the next level. Plus all the winner's work will go on display at an exhibition in London.

Even if you don't want to enter yourself, you can still take part because for the first time this year – we're offering readers who vote in the awards the chance to win a Nikon COOLPIX S9500, with a 22x zoom and built-in wi-fi that allows you to share your snaps and videos instantly with friends as the action happens using a smart device.

Head to nme.com/photoawards2013 now to find out how you can enter and vote in this year’s NME Photography Awards with Nikon.
