The BBC Sound of 2014 longlist has been revealed.

Radar favourites Chance The Rapper, Royal Blood and Chlöe Howl (pictured right) are among the 15 names announced this morning (December 2). Scroll down to the bottom of this page to view the full list.

The annual list, compiled by critics, DJs and music industry bosses, features fifteen acts expected to deliver great things in the coming twelve months. A final five will be revealed at the beginning of January with one overall winner being announced on January 10. Previous winners of the prize include last year's winners Haim, Michael Kiwanuka, Adele, Jessie J and Ellie Goulding.

The list is extremely varied and features Chicago-based hip-hop artist, Chance The Rapper, alongside UK singer Sam Smith, who some may recognise as the voice on Naughty Boy's 'La La La'. BANKS, Ella Eyre, Jungle, MNEK and Say Lou Lou are also among the names on the list.

BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw will announce the Top 5 acts, counting down to the winner, live on air each morning from Monday 6th January. Speaking about his role, he said: "I can't wait to introduce everybody to the sound of 2014."
