Midweek chart update: Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey battling Sam Bailey for top spot

Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey are battling Sam Bailey for the Number One spot on the Official Albums Chart this week, with the winner of The X Factor currently in the lead.

Official Chart Company data reveals that Bailey's debut album, 'The Power Of Love', released in time for Mother's Day, is currently ahead of 'Back Home' by Johnson and Daltrey, which is at Number Two. Elsewhere in the Top Five, My Chemical Romance's hits collection 'May Death Never Stop You' is new at Number Five. The final chart will be revealed on BBC Radio 1 this Sunday (March 30).

There are nine other new entries on this week’s Official Albums Chart Update with Shakira's 'Shakira' new at Number 10, while the reissue of Elton John's 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' is new at Number 11.

Elsewhere, Foster The People's new album 'Torches' is at Number 12. Magnum (17), Jimi Goodwin (22), Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa (24), The Hold Steady (29) Tony Bennett (31) and Toseland (35) are also currently in the Top 40.

In the Official Singles Chart, 5 Seconds Of Summer looking likely to knock Duke Dumont off the top spot after just one week. The Australian boy band have toured with One Direction and released their first single 'She Looks So Perfect' earlier this week.

Other new entries in this week's Singles Chart at the midweek point come from Faul & Wad Ad Vs Pnau (2), Martin Garrix & Jay Hardway (4), Sneakbo (12), Dansson and Marlon Hoffstadt (17) and Chris Brown (40).
