The Amazing Snakeheads and Paolo Nutini lead this week's list of new album releases (April 14).

Scottish trio The Amazing Snakeheads release their debut album 'Amphetamine Ballads' via Domino. The band appeared on the NME Radar tour in 2013 alongside Fat White Family and Cerebral Ballzy.

Speaking about the album, singer Dale Barclay said: "I genuinely don't know where the music comes from. How I play music - live or in the studio - it is what it is and I struggle to know where it comes from. There's been a lot of things written about the band, people say we're angry and things like that – but to me it's just us. There's a hell of a lot of joy in the music."

Meanwhile, Paolo Nutini releases his third album, 'Caustic Love'. The Paisley-born singer worked on the album in Valencia, London, Glasgow and the USA with Dani Castelar, who co-produced the record with the singer. It is his the follow-up to his 2009 album 'Sunny Side Up' and 'These Streets', his 2006 debut record.

Elsewhere, there are new albums from The Afghan Whigs, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkin's new band The Birds of Satan plus Chet Faker, Japanther, Ramona Lisa, Woods, Omi Palone and The Oh Sees while Playlounge release their debut album 'Pilot'.
