Damon Albarn, Pixies and Brody Dalle lead this week's list of new album releases (April 28).

Blur and Gorillaz frontman Albarn steps out on his own for the first time to release his solo album 'Everyday Robots'. The album was recorded last year at Albarn’s West London Studio 13 and is produced by Richard Russell of XL, with whom Albarn produced Bobby Womack’s 'The Bravest Man In The Universe’.

Albarn will play a pair of London dates this week with his new live band The Heavy Seas, which consists of guitarist Seye, drummer Pauli The PSM, bassist Jeff Wootton and Mike Smith on keyboards.

Also releasing a solo album for the first time is ex-Distillers and Spinnerette singer Brody Dalle. Her album 'Diploid Love' was produced by Dalle and Alain Johannes (Arctic Monkeys, Them Crooked Vultures, Mark Lanegan) at his Los Angeles studio, as well as at Dalle and her husband Josh Homme's Pink Duck studio. The record features guest appearances from Garbage's Shirley Manson, The Strokes' Nick Valensi, Michael Shuman of Queens of the Stone Age and Emily Kokal of Warpaint among others.

Dalle trailed the release of the album with the song 'Parties For Prostitutes' as well as 'Meet The Foetus/Oh The Joy', which you can listen to by clicking here.

Meanwhile, Pixies return with their first new album in 23 years. 'Indie Cindy' comprises of eight tracks from the band's 'EP-1' and 'EP-2' plus three new tracks from 'EP-3'. 'Indie Cindy' marks the first time all three releases have been available as one collection.

Pixies' last album, 'Trompe Le Monde', was released in 1991. Producer Gil Norton, who produced that album as well as 'Doolittle' and 'Bossanova', has produced 'Indie Cindy', with all of the songs recorded at Rockfield Studios, Wales in October 2012.
