Download Festival weather update: conditions set to be bright and mainly dry

Music fans attending this weekend's Download festival can expect conditions to be bright with sunny intervals.

The three-day event at Donington Park starts tomorrow (June 13) with performances from Avenged Sevenfold, Aerosmith and Linkin Park expected.

Friday's weather is forcast to be bright with sunny intervals, reports BBC Weather. Temperatures will peak at 21 degrees Celsius, but with the risk of a few showers developing later in the day.

Download continues on Saturday (June 14) and Sunday (June 15), when conditions will remain cloudy on Saturday with some rain at first. Some bright or sunny intervals and perhaps the odd light shower on Sunday. Temperatures will peak at 19 degrees on the Saturday.

Other confirmed acts for the weekend include Alter Bridge, Rob Zombie, Sikth, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Bring Me The Horizon, The Offspring and Fall Out Boy. Stage times for the full weekend can be found here.
