Beggars Group to launch 'Arkive' label at this year's Independent Label Market

New project will offer gems, rarities and classic cuts from the Beggars labels' vaults

Beggars Group, home to record labels including 4AD, Rough Trade, Matador and XL Recordings, have announced details of new label project Arkive.

Arkive will feature gems, rarities and classic cuts from the Beggars labels' vaults and is set to launch at this weekend's Independent Label Market in London. Martin Mills, the founder and chairman of Beggars Group, will man the Arkive stall at Old Spitalfields Market tomorrow (July 12) with a number of the label's releases available.

Among the goods on offer at the market will be rare and early releases by artists including Adele, Vampire Weekend, St Vincent, Interpol, British Sea Power, Palma Violets, Dizzee Rascal, The Prodigy, The xx and The Breeders.

Other labels with stalls at this year's Independent Label Market include Warp, Bella Union, Heavenly, Hyper Dub, Ninja Tune, Glassnote, Domino and Infectious.
