The Gaslight Anthem have entered the Official Album Chart at Number Four with their new album 'Get Hurt'.

The US band had this week's highest new entry with Ed Sheeran staying at Number One on the Official UK Albums Chart for an eighth straight week with his second album 'x'.

'Get Hurt' is The Gaslight Anthem's fifth studio effort and sees the band move away from the Springsteen-influenced sound heard on their first four releases.

Speaking about the change in sound the band have undergone during the making of the LP, frontman Brian Fallon recently told NME: "You get a realisation at some point in your career that whatever it is you do, you can no longer continue to do it. You just realise you can't put out the same records forever."

Elsewhere in the Official Album Chart, Britain's Got Talent duo Richard & Adam are new at Number Five and The Saturdays reached Number Ten with their greatest hits collection 'Finest Selection'. Other new entries came from FKA Twigs (16), Sinead O'Connor (22), Grant Nicholas (29) and Loveable Rogues (37).

Meanwhile, the Number One spot on the Official Singles Chart has stayed with Nico & Vinz for a second week. There were no new entries in the Top Three with Kiesza earning the highest new entry with her new single 'Giant In My Heart' reaching Number Four. 'Giant In My Heart' is the follow up to 'Hideaway', which hit the top spot in the Singles Chart earlier this year.

Further new entries on this week's Official Singles Chart came from from Rizzle Kicks (14) and The Saturdays (38).
