A special reissue of the Ghostbusters theme tune, pressed onto marshmallow-scented vinyl, will be released on October 21.

The track, written by Ray Parker Jr and released in 1984, celebrated its 30th anniversary this year and was released on glow-in-the-dark vinyl for Record Store Day in April.

Now, the next pressing will take inspiration from the film's Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and will be scented accordingly.

The inner sleeve of the gatefold packaging, meanwhile, will be texturised to feel like marshmallow while the sleeve also includes a photo montage of the Stay Puft Man and the Ghostbusters crew.

The release is limited to 3,000 copies, each of which will receive a certificate of authenticity and a 6-inch figurine of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

The package can be pre-ordered at the online Ghostbusters store.

It was recently revealed that Bridesmaids director Paul Feig is working on an all-female reboot of Ghostbusters.
