Ed Sheeran, Charli XCX, Sam Smith and Coldplay lead Grammy Awards 2015 nominees

Sam Smith, Coldplay, Charli XCX and Ed Sheeran are among the first nominees to be revealed for next year's Grammy Awards.

The nominees for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards were announced by Sheeran and Pharrell earlier today (December 5) with five of the categories revealed so far. Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me' will face off against Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX's 'Fancy' in the category of Record Of The Year.

Meanwhile, Sheeran's album 'x' is nominated in the category of Best Pop Vocal Album alongside records from Coldplay, Sam Smith, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande.

Paramore, Jack White, The Black Keys, Beck and Ryan Adams will face off in the category of Best Rock Song.
