Velvet Revolver confirm new album release date
'Libertad' will be unleashed in July
Velvet Revolver are set to release their new album ’Libertad’ on July 2.
It is the follow up to their 2004’s debut album ’Contraband’.
As previously reported Pearl Jam producer Brendan O’Brien is at the helm.
The first single is set to be ’She Builds Quick Machines’ in May. The band have been debuted the track as part of their live set.
Bassist Duff McKagan told Billboard: “RCA did a bunch of research on what they first single should be. I’m pretty anti that stuff. The band had something they wanted to go with, but RCA just kept coming with it. So we decided, it’s fine. It’s a great fucking rock song. It has a kick ass guitar riff, great chorus, a really big bridge and a great Slash solo.”
Tracks also slated to appear on the album include ’Last Fight’ and ’She’s Mine’.
The band are set to play Download 2007, which takes place at Donnington Park on June 8-10.
