Slash to star in computer game
Velvet Revolver guitarist writing new song for Guitar Hero III
Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash is set to appear as a boss character in the forthcoming computer game, 'Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock'.
The axe maestro is writing an original song for the game, which will also feature Slash’s noodlings on classic Guns N' Roses track 'Welcome To The Jungle'. It will be available for the Playstations II and III consoles, plus the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
The game’s makers, Activision, have also confirmed that Queens Of The Stone Age will contribute to the game. They are also trying to recruit Metallica, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC.
The game, which is scheduled for release in early 2008, is part of a hit series of Guitar Hero titles. The games involve players using an almost life-sized guitar-shaped controller, strumming along to rock hits to progress.
