Velvet Revolver man enlists Motorhead's Lemmy, 'Glee' star for new video
Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum has unveiled his debut single with new band Diamond Baby - scroll down and click below to watch the all-star clip.

Sorum, who played drums for Guns N' Roses in the '90s, has roped in Motorhead's Lemmy and Glee star Jane Lynch for the promo for 'The Last Rock Star'. Hollywood stars Juliette Lewis and Verne Troyer also appear in the clip.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Sorum explained that getting comic Lynch to appear in the video was easy, as she's his next door neighbour.

He said:

She’s so busy, she’s such a huge actress now, but then she said she’d love to do it because she’s never done a rock video or a music video. And when I told her she was going to play my butler, she was cool.

Sorum added that Diamond Baby have already completed work on their debut album, although no release date has yet been announced.

He also revealed plans for branching out into graphic novels and video games, adding: "Visually we want to be very exciting, entertaining, over the top."

Velvet Revolver have been on hiatus since 2008. Guitarist Slash has said it will be "at least two years" before the supergroup record another album.

He also ruled Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor out of replacing original singer Scott Weiland, who split from the band three years ago.

The top hat-wearing guitarist confirmed that Taylor auditioned for the role but "just wasn't right".
